improve video :how to ??

hi all ,

i have a vaio NR 17 laptop. so far itz good leaving the video .
the laptop needs v hiq video to produce a non-grainy /[else i see lott of broken squares] video .


Please suggest hardware / software fix ..!

the RAM IS 1GB , Vista Home P , core 2 duo 1.66 GHz / 120 Gb

there are no spyware / programs eating physical memory .
i use VLC player mainly .

I think that the Laptop uses the undeniably low end graphics adaptor from the Intel GM965 Express chipset, which is only just barely enough to play video.

I personally think that there is nothing that I can think of that you could do to improve the Video other than increasing the RAM to its maximum allowable level.

how to improve video ...
i wil give cash gift if any one give me idea to improve the DVD video o/p
