Problems with the battery pack

Hi everybody,

I have a laptop from a brand called Microstar 5600 a German brand and now there is some problem with its battery, suddenly the battery came off once when the system was ON from that time onwards it does not work with the battery, works only when it is ON when connected to AC mains power. Could anyone please tell me what is the problem with that. The configuration of that is Intel Celeron 1.2GHz, 128MB RAM, 40GB Hard disk, 14.1 " LCD monitor, DVD combi drive, etc.,

Even the display driver also has not been installed properly, and i dont have a source to get it. Tried on the company's wesite but to no avail the particular model is not listed and is in German language, Its US site does not carry the information about this model. If anybody knows the source of information. Please help.

If I remember correctly Microstar is a Taiwan make brand and not a German brand. I may be mistaken.

It seems that the battery latch and been broken or damaged so there is contact between the battery and the notebook. That could be the rason why your notebook does not work with the battey.

Have you tried taking the Notebook to a local repair shop. If you are in Mumbai, then check out the shops in Lamington Road.

Thanks for the reply Trish,. It is a German made. And there is no breakage any where in the battery pack or even in the laptop. And had shown one to technician who told after checked it and said have to try changing the battery but I really doubt it is not the problem. And I am not in Mumbai. In Kerala currently. So hoping to get help.

Have you tried cleaning the contacts that the battery makes with the laptop? Apart from this I do not know how else I can help.

If the battery is gone you can try ordering a replacement online.
