Have you looked at the HP Pavilion dv2700 Entertainment Notebook PC series overview - HP Home & Home Office products or HP Pavilion dv6700 Entertainment Notebook PC series Home & Home Office series.

If you want a sturdy notebook for work, I would suggest you to buy the Thinkpad R61. Some models will cost more but worth the money. You also get a three year carry in warranty on some models.

ShamS, I have considered the Dell XPS 1530 but I need to see it before I can buy it. Do you know if they have it on display at any of the retail chains like chroma, etc??

vicky, my cousin owns the HP Pavilion dv2600 and it feels plasticy!! I don't know how sturdy it is?? I will check out the new designer models including the dv2700.

Hey, I saw the Y510 and I think its a great BUY!

I happen to see this model which has a 128MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 8400M GS Graphics chipset.

Should do well for gaming!!
