LG Model R200

Anyone considered the LG Model : R200 ever? I know that LG is not in the same league as others like Dell & HP, but I like their ad with shows the Model : R200 with a secondary LCD display on the top cover.

I used to own this notebook before I swapped this with my sis as I found it too feminine (piano black design).

The great thing about this notebook is that takes advantage of Windows Vista SideShow technology which allows access to multimedia files, emails, system information, etc., all without having to turn the machine on. All this and comes with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300 graphics engine discrete graphics card.

The notebook is very thin and light (weighs about 2 kgs). The sleek glossy finish smudges easily. The notebook runs cooler to most others. No webcam like other Dell and HP notebooks.

As it comes with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7300, performance is good with Office and other standard applications. Mine came with 1GB RAM and I upgraded to 2 GB (this improved the speed considerably).

All in all a great, sleek and classy looker for your girlfried type.
